KHRC participates in IQVIA Africa Health Summit

The Kintampo Health Research Centre (KHRC) represented by Dr. Kwaku Poku Asante, Director of KHRC participated in the IQVIA Africa Health Summit held in Nairobi, Kenya from November 16 to 17, 2022.

The IQVIA Africa Health Summit is a complimentary in-person event which brought together inspiring clinical research and public health experts to share knowledge and exchange ideas about how to advance Africa's health through data, technology and innovative research.

Dr. Asante joined the panel discussion on the “The capacity building journey: The malaria story from research to market”. The panel discussed sustainability of African research institutions and the need to leverage malaria clinical trials platform for other diseases. As part of the discussions, KHRC’s COVID vaccine trials and hypertension trials were highlighted as great examples.
