GHANA MEDICAL ASSOCIATION (BA DEVISION) VISIT TO THE KINTAMPO HEALTH RESEARCH CENTRE.

The GMA of the BA division paid a visit to its members following a Press Conference held on 29 April 2020 in Sunyani to Upgrade the Kintampo Health Research Centre (KHRC) laboratory to Test for COVID19 in Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Regions on 18 May 2020. During their visit, they toured the Centre including the Computer laboratory, Medical Laboratory among others. At the Medical Laboratory, the team were shown the facilities available including the procedures that would be followed in case a suspected sample are brought for testing. Also in the Computer Laboratory, the team were taken through how data is being collected and processed at the Centre.

On the 28 May 2020, a former Kintampo Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Razak Awudulai donated an amount of 30000 USD to aid KHRC secure needed equipment for COVID19 Testing after hearing the news on the Press Conference held by GMA (BA). The Vice Chair of the GMA (BA) added in his address that, the Ghana Medical Association is a service for all.
