CLEAR Project Invites Applications for 2025 PhD Scholarship Programme

The Climate and Health Evaluation for Adaptive Resilience (CLEAR) Project is now accepting applications for its 2025 PhD Scholarship Programme. This project aims to support two to three PhD students enrolled in recognized universities in Ghana, offering them practical analytical experience and opportunities for policy-relevant, community-based research.
About Project
The CLEAR Project is implemented by the Kintampo Health Research Centre (KHRC) in collaboration with the Navrongo Health Research Centre (NHRC, Ghana), Dodowa Health Research Centre (DHRC, Ghana), Research and Development Division of the Ghana Health Service, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST, Ghana), Montana State University (MSU, USA), Columbia University (CU, USA), and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS, USA).
This training programme will leverage robust health and demographic surveillance systems (HDSS) and pregnancy cohort data to explore the impacts of climate change on morbidity and mortality in Ghana. The scholarship provides full support for university fees and covers analytic and fieldwork-related expenses for up to two years (2025–2026).
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Be a second or third-year PhD student at a recognized Ghanaian university with good academic performance.
2. Demonstrate interest and aptitude in climate and health research.
3. Obtain a letter of commitment from
their academic supervisor.
4. Show familiarity with Python and R programming languages
