Ghana is making a transition away from a 'cylinder owned model' of LPG distribution, to branded Cylinder Recirculation Model (CRM). The new model is expected to ensure customer safety and increase adoption of clean cooking with LPG. Together with colleagues from UK, Kenya and Cameroon, we conducted the first ever evaluation for pilot implementation of the CRM.

The goal of this study was to examine what influence LPG adoption and evaluate the implementation of the LPG cylinder recirculation model in peri-urban and rural communities in the Obuasi municipality, Ashanti region, Ghana.
